It’s hotter than hot out there, and what better way to cool off than a splash in the pool? If you’re in New York City, you might not think that’s an option (who has room for a washer/dryer, let alone a pool?)—until you remember that public pools are for everyone, folks! Grab your freshest swim trunks and head on over to one of six pools that we made over this summer, in partnership with NYC Parks + Sherwin-Williams, for a project called Cool Pools. Claremont Pool in the Bronx, Commodore Barry Pool in Brooklyn, Dry Dock Pool and Wagner Pool in Manhattan, Liberty Pool in Queens and Tottenville Pool on Staten Island all got a facelift this season with West Elm outdoor furniture and vibrant murals.

West Elm’s donation to Cool Pools helps its mission to improve the comfort, functionality, appearance and overall experience at NYC public pools. Before this initiative, none of the public pools had a major renovation since they were built in the 1970s!

Check out the before + after pics from the new Wagner Pool in Harlem, and don’t forget to plan a visit to the six pools before they close for the season on September 8!
