All things just keep getting better – including the new loft space from Season 3 of Queer Eye, outfitted exclusively by West Elm! We’re talking about that iconic space the Fab Five uses during the makeover of their “hero,” and most notably, where the guys gather closely together to proudly watch these life-changing transformations take place for their own eyes. Tip: make sure to have your tissues at-the-ready as you watch this new season, because you know each episode is bound to be a tear-jerker full of confidence-building inspiration. For this industrial-inspired loft space designed to be both beautiful + functional, it served not only as a TV set, but a home for the Fab Five cast and crew during their filming in Kansas City.
West Elm collaborated with Bobby Berk, design expert and one of the Fab Five on Queer Eye, along with Tommy Rouse, Production Designer and Stylist with Queer Eye to take this open loft space in the Firestone Building overlooking the Kansas City skyline and turn it into a welcoming environment full of excitement. Taking a large, open floor plan and converting it into functional spaces is no small feat. “Creating different vignettes throughout the room in a cohesive color palette allows me to define the different spaces without having them feel separate from each other,” says Bobby. It’s true -taking the Terrace Bar Cart and turning it into a chic salon style station is
genius – no, FABULOUS!

Included in the reinvented set is the living room featuring the Andes Sectional that’s the perfect size for the Fab Five to huddle up on to watch the reveals. The kitchen is filled with a living plant wall, the Leather Coral Counter Stools in Saddle, and two LED Hoop Chandeliers over the large island for extra illumination. And we can’t forget the entertaining + styling area, where a pair of velvet Roar + Rabbit Swivel Chairs in Ink Blue round out the space.
