Not only do women make up 73% of our team, but Williams–Sonoma, Inc., the parent company of West Elm, was named California’s #1 company for female leadership, with women making up 57% of WSI’s board + executive roles. So for the third year in a row, we’re proud to be celebrating International Women’s Day at every West Elm store across the country with fun events for each local community! From pop-ups supporting local women-owned businesses to learning a new skill like yoga or calligraphy, check out this sampling of store events happening across the country — but this is just the tip of the iceberg, so see what your local West Elm store has planned and RSVP here!

West Elm Austin is teaming up with @thepinkpen, a local calligrapher, for a night of letter-writing. Write a letter to women in your life who inspire you — your mom, your sister, your daughter, or anyone else! — and do it with some newly learned calligraphic flair. Stationery and light snacks will be provided.

Santa Monica
March 8 & 9, 11-3pm
1427 4th Street, Santa Monica, CA

Kick things off on Friday with a free yoga class on the West Elm Santa Monica patio with Sweat Yoga. Then on Saturday, light things up with a candle making workshop at West Elm Santa Monica and L.A.-based Apothenne (@apothennelosangeles). Tickets are $25 and all proceeds go to Sojourn Women’s Shelter.
