Waffles may be thought of primarily as a breakfast food, but anybody who has ever eaten Fried Chicken and Waffles or served them with a hefty side of collard greens knows that this versatile comfort food can be enjoyed all throughout the day. They may seem decadent and complicated, but waffles couldn’t be easier to make—so much so that you’ll start to consider adding these bad boys to every meal. Here’s how to get those perfect, crispy waffles. Enjoy!
1 cup four
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter or vegetable oil
In a medium bowl, sift the our, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk the egg, milk, and melted butter in a separate bowl. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until just incorporated. Grease the Waffle Maker with butter or coat with a light coat of cooking spray. Pour ¼ cup of the batter into the Mini Maker Waffle and cook until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup and fresh berries.
