DIY Watercolor Menus + Place Cards
8.5×11 watercolor paper
The watercolor paint of your choice (we used blue)
A medium-sized paint brush
A printer for the menu templates
For the menus: Print out template on watercolor paper. Trim page along crop marks as printed. Fold paper into equal thirds, tear along folds. Following the instructions on your watercolor paint, brush pigment over the bottoms of the menus. Allow to dry. Paper may wrinkle in the process, so press dried menus underneath a heavy stack of books to flatten as needed.
For the place cards: Fold a piece of 8.5×11 watercolor paper into thirds along the longest side and fourths along the shortest side. This will result in a 3×4 grid of roughly business-card-sized segments. Tear along folds. Write names at the tops of the cards and use your watercolor paint as directed to paint in the bottom half. Alternatively, mock up a 3×4 grid on a landscape-oriented document to type out your names and print. Allow to dry. Paper may wrinkle in the process, so press dried cards underneath a heavy stack of books to flatten as needed.
