While our sofas get near constant use, it’s rare that they receive the clean-sweep the rest of our homes do on cleaning days. You sweep your floors, wipe down your countertops, scrub your bathtub, and keep your dishes washed. You might be a top contender for Cleanest-Person-Who-Ever-Lived, but your sofa might be collecting dust (and dander and goodness knows what else) in the meantime. Luckily, keeping your sofa fresh + clean is as easy as getting to know your vacuum’s attachments. Here’s how.

That’s funny. So how do you actually clean it if it’s dirty. Let’s say from kids.

Ummmm, white Harmony sofa + every day use? Can we put the covers in the washing machine?
Can we use an upholstery cleaner?
Lint rolling and vacuuming is a no brainer but exactly like the bellow comment how do we get rid of marks ect?
BOOM! Sofa still not clean.

Really? Can you give real solutions. Couches collect all sorts of things, it’s true, and this includes smells. Oh, and yes, I am a very clean person and this is why these covers need to be washed.

I have a stain on my Henry couch with the original fabric. What do you recommend for stain removal?

Hi, Dina! We’d recommend spot cleaning with a damp cloth and possibly a mild stain remover. As with any cleaning product on upholstery, you should test it in an inconspicuous spot and allow to dry before attempting on the actual stain.

Was this a joke?

This was the most unhelpful video ever. And now we all feel bad about how dirty couches that don’t live on a showroom get.
