As a maker working from home, it’s imperative that your space offers a creative break away from every day life. That’s no easy feat! We asked Charleston, SC LOCAL maker, Erin Barrett of Sunwoven, who’s woven wall hangings will be launching on our site on the 15th March, to give us a tour of her new home and studio and show us how it’s done!

“We recently purchased our “fixer upper” of a home in beautiful Charleston, SC. One of the main reasons we chose this house over others was the layout. We were absolutely taken with the large great room and the amount of gorgeous natural light that filled the space throughout the day.”
“Even though the home needed a lot of TLC, there was so much character and personality to each space. The super 70’s step down living room was a huge draw to us being that it was something we always longed for in a home. I feel our interior style leans towards a mid century vibe, mixed with a little Wes Anderson charm.”
“Maintaining a comfortable family friendly home all while keeping true to our design aesthetic is something that we are always striving to achieve. The Hamilton leather sofa was the first piece of new furniture that we purchased after we moved in, and was a quick favorite for the family room.”
“The Sunwoven home studio is quickly becoming a favorite place for not only me, but for the rest of my family. I strived for something that was bright, bold, and as inspiring as possible; a place where creativity could flow freely. Although there is still a good amount of work to be done, our new home has quickly become our favorite place to be together as a family, along with a fantastic space to entertain friends. To me, there couldn’t be anything better.”
