West Elm - Leslie Jones Apartment Transformation

It’s safe to say that the past year has been a big one for comic Leslie Jones. She has become a comic force to be reckoned with, reprising her role as a cast member on Saturday Night Live and making appearances in movies like Top Five and Trainwreck. This year, she’ll take on one of her biggest roles yet, as Patty Tolan in the highly anticipated all-female reboot of the Ghostbusters franchise. One could say that Leslie is at the top of her game. Still, despite all of this success, there were still some things in her life that needed a bit of help. Her Harlem apartment, for example. Cluttered and lacking storage, Jones feared that she would have to vacate the building in search of more spacious accommodations.

Enter west elm and home stylist extraordinaire Johanna Mele. Armed with a tape measure and an encyclopedia’s worth of clever decorating tricks, Johanna assured Leslie that a few fixes and furnishings could go a long way towards making the apartment the home that Leslie had always wanted. Working together, Johanna and Leslie completely transformed the space, implementing ingenious ideas while making sure to bring Leslie’s style and personality to the fore. This looks great! Great strong pieces were selected to pull the room together, well done! A big fan of west elm and Leslie’s (the most recent SNL episode had me literally crying with laughter)! I’d love to help her take her art collection to the next level. Holla!

Very nice. However the real challenge is how not to put the pretty furniture in front of the heat/air unit.

Why would we want to watch a celebrity get an apt makeover? Big woop. Better ad campaign would be to do something charitable. Come on west elm.

As always, West Elm delivers an inspiring space. I love the mid-century look. And Leslie looks so happy with the results.

I wanted the bar cart to begin with, but seeing it in Leslie’s apartment sealed the deal for my husband. She’s his favorite SNL actor of all time. 😀
