Party decor is truly an art. For Jihan Zencirli of Geronimo Balloons, it’s also a craft, calling, and a full-time job!
Jihan’s trend-setting atelier is best-known for its big colorful balloons, and helium aside, she’s been responsible for dressing smile-inspiring parties around LA for years.
BUT how does a professional party girl spend her Saturday daytime hours? Take a look and get Jihan’s essential lazy Saturday recommendations, with photos by Kimberly Genevieve.
Favorite lazy weekend book?
Let’s be honest, Saturday books are chosen for their conversation-provoking covers. Any number of lady memoirs would be perfect. Think Anjelica Huston’s newly published Watch Me.
Favorite lazy weekend movie?
Anything movie by Nancy Meyers: It’s Complicated, Something’s Gotta Give, The Holiday, The Parent Trap and Father of the Bride all do the trick.
If you could have brunch with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
A huge group of ladies that should already be my best friends: Amy Poehler, Lena Dunham, Leandra Medine, Garance Dore, Taylor Tomasi-Hill, Aishwarya Rai, Sarah Silverman, Jenny Slate, Giovanna Battaglia. I’d invite Gywneth and Martha for tea at end of the meal, so the entire brunch isn’t tense.
… treating yourself to farmers market wildflowers, long talks with your best friend, and extended grooming time in the evening for however and wherever you plan to celebrate your evening.
