West Elm LOCAL Grant Winner: Little Seed Farm

We’re excited to announce that Little Seed Farm is the winner of our 2014 west elm LOCAL Small Business Grant!

Eileen and James Ray create soap and skincare made from goat’s milk and herbs on their organic family farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee. But only a few years ago, they were living in New York City and feeling unsatisfied. So Eileen and James decided to take a life-changing adventure. They found some land and started Little Seed Farm in 2012 with 2 goats and zero farming experience. Now their 30+ goats are one of the only 100% grassfed herds in the entire country.

We went down to Tennessee on a beautiful fall day to visit Little Seed Farm. Watch and you’ll see why we’re so inspired by Eileen and James’ story and small business!
