Hella Bitter makes fantastic small batch bitters right here in Brooklyn, and they’re sharing some of their favorite summer cocktails – both old classics and new creations – all season long!

This sophisticated twist on a classic summer lemonade is a great mocktail for the whole family. And if you are making it for adults, feel free to add 1.5 oz of your favorite Gin or Vodka!

    1 Cup Sugar
    1 Cup Water
    1 Tsp Dried Lavender

1. Bring water and sugar to a low simmer.
2. Add 1 Tsp dried lavender, either loose or in a tea-ball.
3. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.
3. Strain off any solids, and your syrup is ready! It will keep in a fridge for about 1 week.


    4 oz Soda
    1 oz Lavender Syrup (See above)
    1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
    1.5 oz Gin or Vodka (OPTIONAL)
    2 Dashes Hella Bitter Citrus Bitters
    2 Dashes Hella Bitter Aromatic Bitters

1. Gently stir all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice until very cold.
2. Strain over fresh ice and enjoy!
