FEATURED: Tripod Table + Industrial Pendant
WHY IT WORKS: Kate shares how she used color and proportion to help make the most of a tiny kitchen in her new home — and we think you’ll love the results!

I recently purchased and moved into my first co-op! It needs a bit of renovation, so, while I’m saving up for that, I’m having to make-do. One of the big renovation projects will be opening up my kitchen area, but that is fairly far off. So, in the mean time, I had to find a small, but stylish dining table that would fit in my 7’x6′ dining “room.” The Tripod Table was perfect!

The room also lacked any kind of overhead lighting, so when I saw the Industrial Pendant, I decided to give it a try. I loved the red color so much, I found a rug to carry the color through. The white and red really makes the space open up while still being colorful. I love it!

The photos show the space itself, and one of them shows how the dining room opens up into the living area — the yellow boxes on my desk are west elm too, they carry the yellow from the vintage bar cart in the dining room into the living area. I also put the orange Martini Side Table in the living room to keep the bright pops of color going.

Thanks Kate!
