Our favorite food bloggers inspire us to cook at home and make us hungry every day. We wanted to know them a little better. So we’re getting together to chat all throughout the Holidays!
The home-cooked meals on Aran Goyoaga’s Canelle et Vanille are so elegant, it might take you a while to realize everything is also gluten-free. The trained-pastry-chef-turned-blogger’s well-deserved internet popularity has led to her very first cookbook, Small Plates and Sweet Treats: My Family’s Journey to Gluten-Free Cooking, which was released just last month. Read on for her answers to our holiday food questions!
What’s your favorite gluten-free dish to bring to a Holiday potluck?
I actually love this swiss chard, pear and gruyere tart that is from my new book. Seems like it’s everyone’s favorite.
Sweet Potatoes vs. Mashed Potatoes?
I like roasted sweet potatoes with chunky sea salt, thyme and olive oil.
Favorite weird Thanksgiving leftover meal?
Not very weird but I love to make salads with all the leftovers. I have cold salad topped with warm leftovers of vegetables, turkey, cranberries, nuts… Just throw it all together in a big bowl.
What’s another blog that inspires your food POV?
There are so many amazing blogs out there but I have to admit that it’s very hard for me to visit them all these days. Not enough time. Check the links on my blog. They are all excellent.
