Armed with a sharp X-acto knife and thick watercolor paper, Karen O’Leary is making hand-cut maps that celebrate our favorite urban centers and far-off cities. Based in North Carolina, Karen sells her handiwork in her Etsy shop StudioKMO and has created a sense of place for a number of clients commissioning custom maps.

The mapcuts are just the beginning, in addition to the delicate and lace-like grids, Karen creates more affordable art prints and drawings of your favorite urban destinations. Check out all of Karen’s work at her Etsy Shop StudioKMO.
