If you have fantasies about sleeping over in a west elm without drawing suspicious glances from store managers, we’ve got some news for you. YOU’RE IN LUCK. As part of Palm Springs’ Modernism Week celebrations, we teamed up with Acme House Company to redesign a new renovation of an iconic 1950s Palmer & Krisel pool home, built by the legendary Alexander Construction Company. In the 1950s and 60s, the Alexander Construction Company helped to establish the Modernist Palm Springs aesthetic with functional, streamlined homes now known fondly as “Alexanders.” The newly dubbed “West Elm House” features many hallmarks of these homes—a spacious open floor plan, large windows, a luxurious outdoor pool—and it also happens to be fully outfitted with some of our own latest work. It’s a veritable Mid-Century-meets-New-Modern wonderland and—wait for it—it’s available to rent. Take a sneak peek at these fabulous digs below and then book your stay here!
