Lacy Leaf Philodendron
Light Requirements: Partial shade or indirect light.
Water Requirements: Prefers quick-draining soil; don’t let the roots sit in water.
Of the 900 species of philodendron, those with lacy, bifurcated leaves are perhaps the most showy – and they’re my favorites. A Brazilian rainforest native, Lacy Leaf Philodendron can easily become a tree if you allow it to run amok. Or use the enormous leaves as placemats at an outdoor party. A favorite among the Victorian botanical set, it’s equally at home in a modern setting.
