west elm x faribault woolen mill

This is more than just another blanket. Our new Faribault Woolen Mill collaboration throws + pillows are made in the same Minnesota family-owned mill where Faribault have been producing blankets since 1865.

We were originally drawn to Faribault’s heritage designs. But then we learned that all their raw material is sourced from farmers across the United States, and that their products are made in a facility where machinery from as early as 1900 is still used each and every day. That kind of sealed the deal.

Faribault let us introduce some more contemporary lines and colors, and the rest is blanket history. Get cozy and take a glimpse at the company’s classic production process.

Fantastic style — and made right here at home with natural fibers! Doesn’t get much better than that! Thanks for sharing.

I visited the factory when I worked for Dayton’s a long time ago….I was impressed with their craftsmanship & applaud that you’ve found them too! I just ordered 2 chairs from you & when the piggy bank is fat again I’ll check out the blankets. Love your products & love this story.
