This is an especially fun project because Erin made a few smallish changes after attending a class at west elm Denver — a new graphic rug, new pillows and a coffee table — and it completely transforms her space. She chronicles the changes on her blog and even put her original living room rug to use in the bedroom!

I love west elm! A large part of my decor comes from the store. I love all the natural accessories and have included air plants, antler candlesticks, gold rhinos, and petrified wood coasters in my home. I also use west elm as my go-to for rugs, pillows, and bedding in my house. My style is rustic, industrial, modern so west elm fits in perfectly with my design aesthetic.

I see these through my Facebook feed a lot. I have to say I’m a little disappointed with this one. I liked the before better. The side tables are less visually interesting in the “after”. Overall not much was changed.

I love West Elm but this is a sub-par makeover. She bought a table, rugs, and and pillow covers. It’s beautiful, but I think we’re expecting something a little more drastic.
