My husband and I bought our house last year, a 1908 Craftsman with a large living room and dining room. We have had fun decorating the space to fit our own aesthetic and also keep with the Craftsman charm of the wood floors, trim and picture rail. To play up the height of the room, I hung the Scribble Window Panels just a few inches from the ceiling. We also replaced old, outdated pendant lights over the dining room table with the Large Rectangular Hanging Capiz Pendant.

I like it, except for one thing. There should be a beautiful picture where the framed chalkboard is!

curtains and an appropriately spaced light fixture does not a “transformation” make!

The redo is much better for sure, except for the framed blackboard. That makes the room look a bit tacky.

Haha! I have that capiz pendant in my dining room and it MADE the space-I’ll send pics! Set the tone for our first floor in our little Cape Cod house. Love.

The drapes soften the space creating a modern yea cozy feeling to the space while the capiz light adds texture and fun. The chalk board is so wrong! This wall needs a painting to tie the room together.

I have three curtains yet I struggle to make the pleating this thin. Any advice? Why do they look like pinched pleating in these pics?
