What’s your favorite dish to bring to a holiday potluck?
I like to shake things up by bringing something with unexpected, fresh flavors. This roasted beet, pear & walnut salad combines some of my favorite things and will be such a light counterpoint to the heavier holiday dishes (image and recipe by Jeanine Donofrio.) I’ll be bringing it to potlucks this year and dressing it right before it hits the buffet.
Sweet Potatoes vs. Mashed Potatoes?
Sweet potatoes, without a doubt. I love them roasted, mashed, fried, bruléed, and yes, even with marshmallows on top.
Favorite weird holiday leftover meal?
This year I made a big pot of turkey tortilla soup to serve to house guests the day after Thanksgiving.
