What’s your favorite dish to bring to a holiday potluck?
You can always count me in for a pie or two. I got over my fear of making pies a few years ago and now find them ideal to serve for holiday dessert or leave them behind for the hosts. While I use a basic crust recipe, it’s the filling that changes depending on the season.
Sweet Potatoes vs. Mashed Potatoes?
Not the same. At least to me. Therefore I must have both. Lots and lots of both.
Favorite weird Thanksgiving leftover meal?
I throw all dietary smarts out of the window for my favorite leftover meal, which involves mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy sandwiched into dinner rolls. It’s like a Carb Sandwich. Extra gravy, please.
What’s another blog that inspires your food POV?
Definitely Heidi Swanson of 101 Cookbooks. Her unique combination of textures and ingredients in her recipes always hit the spot, and so many of her recipes are worthy of the holiday table.
