Our favorite food bloggers inspire us to cook at home and make us hungry every day. We wanted to know them a little better. So we’re getting together to chat all throughout the Holidays!

Jennifer Causey is a photographer who regularly turns her lens on everything from home-cooked food to artisan crafts in Brooklyn with uniformly sublime results. We are obviously huge fans of Jen’s Brooklyn Makers book and blog, but the beautiful Simply Breakfast blog has been on our radar much longer without ever losing its straightforward charm. Read on for Jennifer Causey’s answers to our holiday food questions…

What’s your favorite dish to bring to a Thanksgiving potluck?

This recipe for pumpkin cranberry bread is really easy and always a hit. An added bonus, it makes 3 loaves at once: one for you , one to share, and one to freeze.

Sweet Potatoes vs. Mashed Potatoes?

I love them both, but for Thanksgiving you have to have candied sweet potatoes with marshmallow topping.

Favorite weird Thanksgiving leftover meal?

I guess it’s not that weird, but pumpkin pie for breakfast the day after is a must!

What’s another blog that inspires your food POV?

I love Andrea’s work on Hungry Ghost, Jen’s work on Nectar, and Nikole’s work on Forty Sixth at Grace.

Thanks Jennifer!
