We’re welcoming the new season with a fresh look for our stores! Inspired by our colorful collaboration with photographer Clinton Friedman, the west elm visual team aimed to complement the color and floral style of his collection of bontanical prints. In New York, west elm Broadway and west elm Brooklyn are decked out in a cascade of pastel parasols…

Playing off of the super-sized graphic Featherbush flower photograph by Clinton Friedman, the team used over 300 wooden umbrellas between the two stores to create a wave of pale color in the stores entrances. The translucent paper of the umbrellas allows light to pass through and adds to the warm glow of the season!

I love being reminded to think outside the box! This is beautiful example of a simple object being used in the freshest way to create an amazingly stunning display!
