Colorful bird houses are the work of Etsy seller Nathan Danials. Inspired by Mid-Century Modern architecture and Swiss ski chalets, each of the handcrafted houses is made by Nathan in his Minnesota studio. Each design balances the natural wood — from rosewood to walnut — with a pop of color in organic oils and low-VOC paints.
My goal with Etsy is to create modern shelters for our fine, feathered friends. My professional background is in retail furnishings, but creating my own products is my passion. We are a family ran business with one full-time employee, and a 6 year old consultant who works pro bono for now…
A collection of Nathan’s modernist birdhouses are featured in the west elm catalog — page 111 of 2012 catalog #1. See how our stylists paired them with other furniture, accessories and lighting from west elm: Etsy: Handmade at Home
More of Nathan’s colorful bird houses are available from his Etsy shop Burd-Haus.
