There seems to be a growing interest in breaking out of former weekend routines to explore different, more creative ways of spending time with friends (sans the loud club music and bar food). Perhaps what’s missing is a reminder that it’s easy and gratifying to invite friends into our homes — a reminder that we don’t need to plan for weeks in advance, send formal invitations, and make table charts to enjoy entertaining.
