FEATURED: Mid-Century Nightstand
WHY IT WORKS: Rob works in the Creative Services department here at west elm headquarters in Brooklyn. His appreciation for straight-forward design and clean lines extends to his home, which he shares with his dog, Lucy…
When I first saw this nightstand in our Spring preview, I knew I had to have it. Usually an indecisive buyer, I was easily sold on adding this to my home collection as the first piece since my start at west elm. The mid-century inspired shape and honey–colored wood veneer was just what I needed to warm up the industrial lighting and dark colors of the bedroom. Though compact, this table gives me plenty of bedside storage without compromising the design — important for anyone living in a small space. It even complements Lucy’s fur. What more can I ask for? She does, after all, spend most of her dog days lounging in bed.
Thanks Rob!

I love Lucy! With her as model, anything looks good. Bought the aluminun white tray on the nightstand after seeing it her next to Lucy.

Love this look! Can we see pics of the rest of the room? I’m wondering how the night stand ties in with other furniture pieces (ie: the dresser)… thanks!

I was about to buy these in white only to find they were no longer available in white. Broke my little mid-century dreaming heart.
