Seattle Welcomes west elm!

west elm Seattle is now open! The South Lake Union store is west elm’s 36th retail location and west elm’s first store in Washington State. The new space also marks the launch of our latest store concept by Thomas O’Brien of Aero Studios. The 15,000+ square foot store features a living wall of plants and an updated Design Lab, where visitors can collaborate on virtual space planning and decorating projects.

For the opening, we worked with Seattle-based artist, Justin R. Lytle to create an original art installation specifically for the Seattle store. Justin’s sculpture made of manipulated Tyvek hangs in the back of the store.
