Niche Storage in a Girl’s Bedroom by Vanessa De Vargas
FEATURED: Niche 6-Drawer Dresser + Niche Nightstands
WHY IT WORKS: LA-based interior designer Vanessa De Vargas of Turquoise chose 3 Niche Collection pieces when she designed the bedroom of a client’s daughter in Pasadena. The classic shape of the collection — with just a hint of contemporary styling — was an ideal fit for the sophisticated palette Vanessa chose. With a slight nod towards Hollywood Regency style, the neutral furniture is the ideal backdrop to the range of patterns, colors and textures in the room.
I worked with my client who wanted to transform her daughter’s bedroom into a more modern and grown up bedroom. We started from scratch and painted the walls in a nice silver blue and accented the room with patterns of turquoise, light blue and magenta. My client showed me some side tables that she loved but that were way out of our budget, so it just so happened West Elm had a version that we could not pass up! The white Niche tables are perfect and the Niche dresser provides tons of storage for her belongings. I love how the modern tables are accented with more delicate items like the blue lamps, the polka dot sheets and zig zag pillows. My client’s daughter loves the room and could not be more happy with how it turned out. Thanks West Elm for helping to create a sophisticated kids room!
